Winner of Women in IT Raffle

Congratulations to Brittanie Duncan, Software Development Engineer at JP Morgan Chase for winning the “She” Basket raffle at the Columbus Women in IT & annual conference! The event was held at the Ohio Union on OSU’s campus and was filled with great speakers, sessions on career management, technology and innovation, and networking with women in IT. Halo HR Director Lindsey Daniels was there along with some of Halo’s own Women in IT, Product Managers Megan Winafeld and Dessa Augsburger, and Senior Android Engineer Tina Siswandari.

Brittanie was very excited about the goodies and immediately put them on her desk at work. The Halo team was excited to meet her and other fantastic women working in IT who joined the conference. “It was a great networking opportunity for students who had a chance to meet successful women in the IT industry,” said Lindsey. “One woman who worked in IT was sharing the event with her young daughter, and many professionals were there with the women they were mentoring for IT careers.”

“This conference is a great resource to women working in the IT industry,” said Tina. “It was good to see they focused on both the technical and soft skills.”

“The conference reinforced how much women are serious contributors to the IT space,” said Dessa. “The keynote by Lori Beer, JP Morgan Chase & Co.’s Global Chief Information Officer highlighted how large companies like theirs are leading the transformation efforts globally in IT operations.”
