Key Learnings:
- Why is company culture important to us at Halo Health?
- What is a Halo Hero?
- Introducing Our Halo Hero: Reed Hanger
At Halo Health, providing a positive organizational culture means more than having snacks on hands, or ping pong tables, or space for collaboration – though all those things don’t hurt. Positive organizational culture means providing our employees with the support and resources they need and the recognition they deserve.
Each quarter, Halo Health employees nominate “Halo Heroes” – employees who exemplify our core values of accountability, attitude, teamwork, and tenacity, and push our company mission forward: to improve communication and collaboration in healthcare to save lives.
Team members who receive the most peer nominations are named our “Halo Heroes,” and are recognized with a personal letter from our CEO, a Halo Hero hat, a $200 Amazon gift card, and a feature on our blog.
Join us in recognizing our Halo Hero, Reed Hanger, and its contributions to our organizational culture and success.
Get to Know Our Halo Hero: Reed Hanger
Meet Reed: Reed is a DevOps Engineer at Halo Health, meaning he works to make sure our servers stay up and running and fixes any issues that might affect our customers. He also ensures code written by our developers gets added to our servers smoothly. Reed has worked for Halo Health for a little over a year!
A Day in the Life: Reed’s day-to-day involves a lot of execution. First, he checks to see if any customer issues have been reported or if our developers or quality assurance teams have reported problems in our testing environments. Once those are taken care of, Reed works on tasks that need to be completed prior to deploying the next version of our software.
Motivation Station: Reed is motivated by any opportunity to make things better and easier. According to Reed, “I really enjoy working on automation and improving our existing processes. It’s very satisfying to take a process and streamline it.” Efficiency and effectiveness are essential for our customers, and they are key to our success, too!
Halo Hype: What’s special about Halo Health? For Reed, it’s the people.
“I work closely with developers and quality assurance every day. They’re all great, friendly people, and I feel like there’s a strong collaborative spirit between us.”
Reed exemplifies what it means to be a Halo Hero. But don’t just take our word for it, read what his nominators had to say:
