It is intentional when we add new members to our team – to not only seek out individuals who are passionate about what we do, but that will positively contribute to our culture at Halo Health.
And, for us, culture means providing our employees with the space, support, and recognition they need to be both happy and successful. For example, each quarter Halo Health employees nominate “Halo Heroes” – employees who exemplify our mission and core values. Team members who receive the most peer nominations are named our “Halo Heroes,” and are recognized with a personal letter from our CEO, a Halo Hero hat, a $200 Amazon gift card, and a feature on our blog.

Get to Know Our Halo Hero: Anurag Kalra
Meet Anurag: Anurag has been a Halo Health team member for close to two years! “As a Software Engineer in Platform team, I write code for our backend and frontend applications. On some projects, I have been a technical project lead which involves researching how to implement a requirement and creating tech tickets for the team to work on.”
A Day in the Life: Anurag’s day-to-day is a balance of execution and collaboration. “We follow agile methodology. I start my day by picking up and working on the first available ticket in the To-do list. Our team collaborates to review each other’s work and then we discuss as needed.”
Motivation Station: What keeps Anurag motivated? The bigger picture. “The topmost motivating thing about working for Halo Health would be our mission: Saving lives by improving communication and collaboration in healthcare. Knowing that your work contributes to something which helps people is a great motivator. Second, would be the people at Halo Health. We have very smart people who are dedicated and have respect for each other. Working with such team makes you want to always perform better.”
Halo Health Hype: What does else does Anurag love about Halo Health? “We use new and exciting technologies, so there is a regular updating of skills. We can focus on actual work without much distraction. Cross-team collaboration is smooth. Again, I believe the people at Halo Health are our most valuable asset and it is truly a pleasure to work with them.”
